Head Chef | Competitive Rate of Pay

We are looking to recruit a full-time Chef to join our team. 

Applicants should hold all relevant qualifications for this position including City and Guilds Catering, an NVQ in catering and food safety/hygiene certificate etc. Strong leadership, Good communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential as you will be negotiating with suppliers regularly. A proven ability to manage a busy kitchen, build a strong team and the ability to work on your own initiative is also key to this position.

A satisfactory DBS check applies to this position. Desired skills include previous experience in stock management and the dietary requirements and food preparation for elderly clients.

Registered Night Nurses | Pay Dependent on Experience 

 We are seeking to recruit full-time and part-time Registered Nurses to join our friendly team in providing the highest levels of care to our residents.

The successful candidate must have good communication skills, be motivated to offer the highest standards of care and be able to undertake all appropriate aspects of nursing care required. 

Responsibilities will include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for specified residents to ensure continuity of care and to take management responsibility for a shift as directed. 

Applicants will be qualified RGN/RMN and will have a genuine interest in working with the elderly. Excellent communication skills are essential and applicants must be able to communicate effectively at all levels in English. Current NMC Registration is necessary and a PVG check also applies to this role. Experience in care for the elderly and previous supervisory experience would be advantageous for this role. 

The rate of pay is dependent on experience and will be discussed in person.

Activities Co-ordinators | Competitive Rate of Pay

We are looking to recruit a full-time or part-time Activities Co-ordinator to join our team.

Applicants for this position must have a genuine interest in working with the elderly and demonstrate the ability to engage with residents and their families. 

Previous experience in planning and delivering stimulating, meaningful and a varied programme of activities, outings, and events is desirable along with the ability to organise our team to assist. This role will involve developing strong links with the local community, schools, businesses and building a network of volunteers in order to enhance and enrich the residents daily living experience. 

The successful candidate must be mindful of all our residents, taking into consideration any residents with Dementia, when planning programmes for individuals and groups. Planning appropriate outings for small groups is also important for this role.

You must also have the skill to arrange in house entertainers to provide varied programmes for residents. The most suitable candidate will be interested in arts and crafts, music and drama and have the ability to incorporate this into planned activities; be cheerful, outgoing and a team player.

 A satisfactory PVG check applies to this position.

Kitchen Porter | Competitive Rate of Pay

We are looking to recruit a full-time Kitchen Porter to join our team.

Applicants for this position will be expected to undertake a variety of kitchen duties including:

  • Ensuring basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible
  • Collecting and washing up pots and pans
  • Cleaning food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery.
  • Unloading food and equipment deliveries.

Could lead to assisting with dessert and starter preparation and other aspects of kitchen work too. The position offers a competitive rate of pay and a first-class working environment coupled with being part of a motivated and enthusiastic team.

Domestic/Laundry Staff | Competitive Rate of Pay

We are looking to recruit full-time Domestic/Laundry staff to join our team.

Successful candidates will work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness of linen, towels and residents’ personal clothing, and to ensure an adequate supply of these items at all time. Successful applicants will also work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Care Home, whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable environment at all times.

Experience working with an elderly care environment would be advantageous but is not essential for this role. The position offers a competitive rate of pay and a first-class working environment coupled with being part of a motivated and enthusiastic team.
