Westerton Care Home is surrounded by spectacular landscaped and terraced gardens; the perfect place where residents can participate in a variety of our garden projects, sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings or take a leisurely stroll around.

Surrounded by landscaped gardens, the home also boasts its own putting green and patio areas (over two levels), which can be enjoyed all year round. We believe Westerton Care Home should feel like home which is why we have something to cater for all tastes.

Private Terraced Gardens

Our garden provides the perfect outdoor space for our residents to safely enjoy nature and take part in gardening activities, from potting new plants to tending those already in full bloom. Spending time in our private terraced gardens can be a great way to socialise, get to know like-minded residents and also feel a sense of independence and responsibility. At Westerton Care Home, we have seen first hand the benefits that gardening and enjoying the outdoors can have on residents, which is why whenever the weather allows, our teams go to great efforts to arrange activities that can be taken outside.

Our beautiful, private gardens are completely secure and fully enclosed meaning all residents are able to enjoy a safe outside environment. Both residents and their friends and family are welcome to spend time in our beautiful garden; take a leisurely stroll, admire the raised flower beds, enjoy the wildlife, or read a book.

Our outdoor spaces are graced with the most magnificent wildlife and we have found residents thoroughly enjoy simply taking a moment to observe, and feel connected with the outdoors. Our beautiful terraced garden and patios also allow residents to read a book, do a crossword or even take their meals outside and experience the calm and tranquility our outside spaces provide.

We place great emphasis on ensuring our residents have regular opportunities to get outdoors, breathe in the fresh air, partake in outdoor activities, and enjoy the beauty of nature. This is important for their overall well-being as it offers a multitude of mental and physical benefits.

We offer many outdoor activities including walking, gardening and lawn games and when the weather permits, residents can dine al fresco, socialise with loved ones and enjoy live entertainment.

In order to make our gardens accessible to everyone, we have wheelchair-accessible paths and seated furniture. Our private garden is also safe and secure with proper fencing and gates, to prevent residents from going beyond the garden walls. Our walking paths are well-maintained and there is also lighting and other safety features to help prevent falls or other accidents.
