Respite Care In Glasgow

Respite care is available to anyone who requires care from a team of professionals on a short-term basis. Our respite care in Glasgow provides family members with the opportunity to take a well earned break from their caregiving duties and feel refreshed.

Respite care is also a suitable type of care for those who have recently had an operation or injury and need a short break from their everyday lives. This allows someone to fully recover in the capable hands of our team until they feel back to themselves following a short break. A respite care service can also be used to trial care homes for a few weeks before deciding whether it’s right for someone, and this is something we offer our prospective residents.

Residential Care

Residential care is a great option for someone who is finding it difficult to live alone. Living in a residential care facility provides a person with security, social engagement, and regular support and assistance. Residents will be able to spend their days doing the things they love most while all housekeeping chores are tended to.

Residential care is designed to enhance an individual’s overall well-being. We believe in meeting more than just basic care needs, instead, we get to know everyone’s likes, dislikes, strengths and preferences in order to provide a lifestyle that will enable residents to thrive.

Nursing Care

Nursing care is available to residents who need 24/7 medical and personal care. This type of care is by far the most suitable care type for those who have physical limitations, and high dependency needs due to a long-term health condition or illness.

By offering nursing care, residents at our nursing home will have our nurses’ full attention and outstanding care will be provided at all hours of the day and night. Each resident will be assigned a nurse who will be able to get to know them wholeheartedly in order to provide the best person-centred care.

Dementia Care

Some care homes offer dementia care and we are proud to be one of them. Our team has many years of experience working with people who have dementia and the symptoms associated with the condition. We can provide unrivalled, high-quality care to our residents in need of dementia care. Every person living with dementia requires a different level of care, which is why our dementia care programmes at Westerton Care Home are always customised to the individual.

Our home provides a range of dementia-friendly activities, along with appropriate care and support so that those living with dementia can excel within homely surroundings, and continue to experience the things that bring them joy each and every day. If your loved one is currently receiving live in care but their needs are becoming more demanding, the next step may be finding a care home that can take the care to the next level.
