In one of our short videos, one of our residents, Nora Liberi, talks about her journey from enjoying a respite stay to becoming a permanent member of the Westerton family. You can watch the video on our Facebook page: https://bit.ly/30H0Qbk

Respite Care, also known as short term care, is a temporary arrangement in which an elderly person can receive additional support from a team of expertly trained and qualified carers in a safe and secure environment.

At Westerton Care Home, as well as offering exceptional levels of Residential, Nursing and Dementia Care, we also offer Respite Care.

There are a variety of benefits of coming to Westerton for a respite stay. These include the opportunity to socialise with people of the same age, with common interests, with the chance to try something different every day. If you are considering becoming a permanent resident, this is an ideal way to experience life at our home for yourself.

Of course, we understand that everyone needs a break from time to time. Whether you care for a loved one or need a break yourself, a respite stay means you can relax knowing that a safe, welcoming and supportive place is here for you or your loved one.

Accommodating anything from two weeks to a few months, we provide respite care for those looking for short-term support and are always happy to answer any questions you may have.

What can you expect from a respite stay at Westerton Care Home?
Owing to COVID-19 restrictions within the care sector, all new residents will be required to isolate for 14 days. However, we use this time to help our residents familiarise themselves with the home and the team – there’s lots to find out about.

Rest assured, all new residents are greatly supported by our team on a daily basis including set up of activities to make the most of the day and time at the home.

At Westerton, you’ll find beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms, a hairdressing salon, spacious cinema where you can enjoy the classics, bar and bistro, sensory room, extended parking, enviable outdoor terraces, gardening space and even a 9 hole golf course.

If you would like to find out more about life at Westerton, get in touch today by calling 0141 942 5834.
