International Men's Day

Celebrating Our Male Residents this International Men’s Day

On the 19th of November, the residents and staff at Westerton Care Home celebrated International Men’s Day in style. Our dedicated staff members converted our cafe to a special bar area as well as reserving the tables for our male residents whilst they chatted away enjoying a few drinks together.

International Men’s Day celebrates worldwide the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities. This is the perfect opportunity for us to be able to go above and beyond to highlight the value of our male residents and the huge impact they have on our care home.

At any opportunity we can, we take pleasure in highlighting the positive male role models in our care home and raising awareness of males well being.

We actively encourage our residents to participate in our activities programme and to celebrate special events with one another. This is an opportunity for our residents to build and create new relationships with each other, and maintain good communication levels as well as try out new activities and hobbies within the home.

There is never a dull moment at Westerton Care Home, we like to make sure that our residents are continuously channelling their creativity and that no two days are the same. We regularly strive for our residents to live a happy and exciting life, which is why our dedicated activities coordinator works hard to make sure that our residents are busy experiencing day trips out in Bearsden or making use of the many amenities at Westerton Care Home, whether it is our arts and crafts and activities programme, our in house cinema, or being pampered in our hair salon and treatment room, our residents will always have something to do.

If you would like to find out more information regarding Westerton Care Home, the facilities we provide and the many care options we have to offer, then please feel free to contact us and a friendly member of our team will be happy to help.
